Safety-focussed high-low stern platform launches

J&J Design S.A.F.E. low position When the platform is underwater the engines cannot be started and when the engines are running the platform cannot be lowered

A new safety-orientated high-low stern platform designed for outboard-powered boats has been launched.

S.A.F.E. creates a full-beam private beach at the stern of the boat with integrated deck access steps to allow easy and safe access to the water.

Designed by J&J Design, it has an electro-hydraulic lifting mechanism which allows the platform to be adjusted on three different levels.

When the platform is in low position - when the boat is anchored, the platform upper face is approximately 10cm under water level and the boat is stable.

S.A.F.E. is synchronised with the outboard trim system of the outboard engines. When the platform is underwater the engines cannot be started and when the engines are running the platform cannot be lowered.

In ride position, when the boat is sailing, the platform is levelled with the cockpit.

High position allows the engines to be trimmed out and provides safe dock access as the platform is level with the pontoon.

The system is suitable both for mono hull and catamaran up to 50ft with single/double/triple/quad engines.

The lifting mechanism was developed by Opacmare.
