Safety equipment is in one place

Life Cell holds essential safety equipment in one place Life Cell holds essential safety equipment in one place

Life-Cell is a SOLAS approved buoyant, float free, storage device available in four different sizes and designed to hold all mandatory safety equipment such as flares, EPIRBS, heliographs and torch.

The product – that will be shown by Life Cell European agent Pinpoint at Seawork – was designed by Scott Smiles and Rick Matthews after they survived a sinking off the coast of Sydney, Australia.

This inspired them to create a device designed to redefine how safety equipment is stored and used on boats to improve survival rates.

Life Cell, they say ensures all safety equipment is stored safely in a buoyant device rather than misplaced under a seat, in a gunwale or at the back of a cupboard.

The product also comes with the mounting bracket and lanyards, so users are not separated from the device.

Pinpoint will also show a 3d phased array sonar that allows a vessel to see up to 1000m ahead of the vessel and overlay this data onto charts from Farsounder.

The company will be on stand PY54
