Lexus moves further into the superyacht arena
Lexus is moving further into the superyacht production market with its third flagship yacht the Lexus LY 650.
The new yacht applies the automobile Lexus design, to a superyacht and aims to picks up where the stunning Lexus Sport Yacht Concept, launched in January 2017, left off.
The vision behind the LY 650, according to Lexus executive vice president, Shigeki Tomoyama, is to: “Present a dream-like vision of the luxury lifestyle; one where the Lexus yacht expands the potential of Lexus mobility to the ocean.”
Marquis-Larson Boat Group was selected to build, sell and service the next Lexus yacht based largely on its extensive experience with bespoke boat building, confirmed by its work bringing the Lexus Sport Yacht Concept to life.
Several of the most attractive features from the original 42-foot Sport Yacht concept have made their way onto the LY 650.
Measuring 65-foot in length, 19-foot beam, the newest Lexus yacht has a distinguished style found in the strong, pronounced bow, curved deck accents and accentuated aft hips.
The LY 650 joins the LS saloon and LC coupé as the third Lexus flagship
This further move into the superyacht sector signifies that the car manufacturer is serious about taking its vision for luxury over and above the automotive industry.
