A new alarm, monitoring and control system boasts PIN-controlled user access alongside full user customisation.

Oceanic Systems (UK) Poseidon controls and monitors systems including tank levels, engines, AC power and digital switching, DC power and digital switching. It also controls and monitors temperature, bilge and fire detection systems, cameras, weather information and navigation information.

Poseidon’s remote access feature allows users to connect to their Poseidon system wherever they are, using a mobile, tablet or PC. The system has optional PIN access, to set different levels of permissions to its users.

The system consists of a compact computer unit with a powerful quad-core processor and heat pipe technology. It features state of the art vector graphics and uses 'drag and drop' technology, ensuring simple user configuration throughout. The background of displays can be changed and controls can be moved, added and deleted.

Poseidon supports up to two primary helm displays and up to eight secondary displays elsewhere in the vessel across the network, available from Oceanic Systems as BlackGlass high resolution touchscreen displays.
