Drive systems manufacturer DEUTZ acquires its long-standing dealer
Manufacturer of drive systems DEUTZ has acquired its long-standing Italian dealer IML Motori, just a week after the acquisition of electric engine company Torqeedo.
The latest acquisition is designed to strengthen DEUTZ’s sales and service network in Italy and increase its proximity to customers in the Mediterranean.
IML Motori generated around €45m in revenue in its last financial year. The company is to trade in Italy under the name DEUTZ Italy.
“This acquisition is in line with our strategy of investing in the company’s service network in selected locations in order to drive further growth in this profitable segment,” said Michael Wellenzohn, member of the board of management of DEUTZ for sales/service and marketing. “The increasing technical complexity of the engine business also requires close contact with our customers.”
