Gen II SeaStar Jackplates able to handle heavier loads
SeaStar Solutions has launched its Gen II Standard Jackplate for outboards up to 300hp and Xtreme Jackplate for outboards up to 400hp.
While the new design uses less material and has resulted in a weight reduction of 15% over the original models, to handle heavier loads, advanced composite bushings allow for smoother movement of the hydraulic rams when the jackplate is raised or lowered for optimum performance at all speeds and loads.
“Our engineers used the feedback we’ve received from our customers to make our Gen II Jackplates the very best they can be,” explained Tom Douglass, vice president of sales and marketing for SeaStar Solutions.
Redesigned engine brackets
Both models are available with 4in, 6in, 8in, 10in and 12in setbacks. Due to redesigned engine brackets, shallow water anchors can now be mounted to all setbacks, from 4in to 12in, on both models without the use of adapter plates.
Redesigned engine brackets have also improved access to the mounting bolts. Side access has been introduced to make it easier to get a wrench on engine mounting bolts while clearance to access transom mounting bolts has also been opened up, making it easier for one person to install the plate on a boat.
