Partnership deal signed
Diesel outboard developer, Cox Powertrain, has signed a partnership deal with UK-based QM Systems.
The deal – worth in excess of £1.6m – is for QM to develop a manufacturing system to produce Cox Powertrain’s diesel outboard engine, the CXO300.
“QM Systems is a great match to partner with for innovation and will help us achieve our goal to build a world-class engine,” said Cox Powertrain CFO Mark Palethorpe. “The engine will be assembled in the UK using QM Systems engine line production system, taking advantage of modern automated manufacturing techniques to ensure a highly efficient delivery process.”
QM Systems MD, Nick Field, added: "This is fabulous news for QM Systems and demonstrates our continued drive to develop our business into new and exciting areas.”
