Heating and air conditioning designer and manufacturer, Webasto, recently launched its Thermo Top Pro 120 and 150 heating systems and added V64 T and V77 T air conditioning units to its BlueCool V series product range.

Commercial manager, David Stafford, says the diesel-powered heating systems have an ‘innovative burner concept’ giving a heat output of 12 or 15kW.

He comments: “The atomizing burner is extremely compact which allowed us to play with the design elements and make it easier to install and service. It’s particularly quiet in operation and equipped with a diagnostic function and intelligent safety system.”

Cooling capacity

Webasto’s new V64 T and V77 T air conditioning units have a cooling capacity between 64,000 and 77,000 BTU/h, enabling them to fit onto larger boats.

Designed to complement Webasto’s V50 M model, they have an intelligent, variable speed compressor controller, offering higher performance and reliability even under warm seawater conditions, and the air conditioning systems are light, compact and very quiet in operation.

David continues: “Extremely efficient, their amperage draw can be manually limited if necessary and while operating as standalone units, several units can be connected in parallel, considerably increasing the overall cooling performance.”

Compact size

Webasto reports boaters have commented on how easy the heaters are to fit and their small size for the output. Similarly, they are impressed with the compact size of the V77 air conditioning unit.

In line with all BlueCool air conditioning units, the new models can also be intuitively controlled via a touch-screen panel and connected to the Webasto BlueCool Expert diagnosis and set up tool.
