As the 2012 Olympics approach, the proximity of London’s waterways to the Olympic facilities means there may be lots of people arriving to the events by water. So they’ll need somewhere to park…

OLYMPIC MOOORING: British Waterways (BW) is asking inland and seagoing boat owners – including those from overseas – to suggest where they might require visitor and/or transit moorings in the London waterways area when visiting the Olympic Games in 2012, writes Harry Arnold.

The online questionnaire can be accessed on surveymonkey.com and closes on September 30, 2010.

Sites such as Limehouse Marina, in the original commercial basin where the Lee & Stort Navigation joins the River Thames, would be ideal, being close to the attractions of central London and having good rail links to the main Olympic Park and other venues.
