International Breakfast Meeting

Next month, on 24 January 2016 (Tuesday) boot Düsseldorf and European Boating Industry are organising jointly for the fifth time a joint conference at the occasion of boot 2017. We’re extremely proud and happy to celebrate this round anniversary with the second edition of the format introduced last year ‘International Breakfast Meeting’ (after having organised before the ‘International Conference’ for three consecutive years between 2013-2015).

This second edition will be divided into two thematic parts: getting newcomers on board and keeping elderly people on board. The speakers will reflect with the audience on new trends, such as interconnectedness and digitalization and how the boating industry can deal with them. They will also try to answer the question about, what people coming to Europe expect from their leisure time, including time spent on a boat or practising other water sports. Boat chartering and sharing, new emerging trends in the industry and their impact on the future of boating will also be discussed.

The second part of the Breakfast will address the demographic change and the fact that boating population is getting older. A brand new German study on the situation will be presented. Industry representatives will inform, how they react to the demographic change and what’s being done (could be done) to adapt boats to the new needs.

Participation to the International Breakfast Meeting is free for all exhibitors and the press. More information about the programme and speakers can be found on the European Boating Industry website. People interested in attending the event who are not exhibitors are kindly asked to contact our secretariat.
