Fairline Boats appoints a new CEO and a new non-executive director
APPOINTMENT: Fairline Boats has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer - Alistair Schofield, an MBA and graduate in Chemical Engineering. Mr Schofield will take the position from 1 February, 2012.
With a background in a variety of business development, technical and operational roles in the industrial and marine sectors, Mr Schofield has worked for the Doncaster Group, a large private equity backed industrial company, for the past 10 years.
As managing director of its Turbocharger Components and Turbine Airfoil divisions he delivered substantial business improvement in both.
“We are delighted to bring a CEO of Alistair’s calibre to the business and are confident that with his exceptional experience he will take Fairline through its next stage of development,” said Fairline chairman Nick Sanders.
The Fairline Board has also been strengthened by the appointment of Kevin Gaskell as a non-executive director. As managing director of Porsche UK and BMW UK he gained significant experience in developing premium brands and is currently chairman of Courland Automotive International and Achilles Ltd.
