It’s your last chance to vote for the Boating Business/MTA Awards and we need nominations by September 1 so we can get the awards engraved in time for the presentations during the Southampton Boat Show.

AWARDS: We’re now looking for final nominations for the 2010 Boating Business/MTA Awards that we want to present at this year’s PSP Southampton Boat Show in September.

With the accent on highlighting the new generation of people who will be the future of the UK leisure marine industry, two of the awards are for people under 40 years of age; the Young Entrepreneur of the Year (won last year by James Ward of Marine Resources) and the Scott Deverell Young Businessperson of the Year (won last year by Tom Reed of Scanstrut).

Then we have the Environment award – won last year by ASAP Supplies. Plus the Website Award, won last year by Pro-Boat.

The MTA has its Retailer of the Year Award, which was won last year by Peter McLuskie of Force 4. And it has its Personality of the Year, which managed to surprise BB’s editor Peter Nash into total silence last year.

Finally, we have the BB Lifetime Achievement Award, which went to Mr Henri of Henri Lloyd.

To submit your suggestion for the winner of one (or more) of these awards, we need a 50 word explanation of why you are proposing the person/company of your choice. An email to awards@boatingbusiness.com by Wednesday September 1.
