DIAB and Gurit have reached agreement on how Gurit describes its M-Foam in its advertising and marketing material, although Gurit has made no admission of any wrongdoing.

AGREEMENT: In a statement released on April 8, DIAB says it has reached an agreement with Gurit SP, producer of Corecell M-Foam that Gurit SP shall remove all comparisons and references to DIAB Divinycell H80 products. In addition, without admission of any wrongdoing, Gurit, has accepted to modify its statements regarding its Corecell M-Foam in all marketing materials.

Statements such as the one made in the Shape magazine of October 2009 containing the wording: ‘M-Foam is the only core to offer a complete cost-effective package comprising high shear strength, low weight and high elongation, low resin uptake for infusion process and high temperature stability for prepreg processes’ will be changed to ‘M-foam offers a complete cost-effective package comprising high shear strength, low weight and high elongation, low resin uptake for infusion processes an high temperature stability for prepreg processes’.

In addition, the statement made in Gurit’s press release of July 17, 2009 ‘SP believes that M-Foams unique combination of benefits is what the marine market has been missing’ will be changed to ‘SP believes that M-Foams combination of benefits is what the marine market needs’.

‘We are satisfied with the agreement with Gurit and thank Gurit for their willingness to change their marketing materials,’ said DIAB CEO Anders Paulsson. ‘After the changes to Gurit marketing materials, our customers can better make informed comparisons between Gurit and DIAB products based on facts.’
