Leisure digital navigation app launches
NaviPlotter allows users to explore, plan and navigate routes in real-time
Norway-headquartered Nautisk has developed a digital navigation app, its first product aimed at sailing, boating and fishing customers.
NaviPlotter allows users to explore, plan and navigate routes in real-time using hi resolution digital vector charts and navigation tools.
Nautisk head of innovation, Kjetil Bentsen, said: “We have taken our digital navigation expertise from the commercial market to develop a tool for those sailing for fishing and leisure.”
The app offers normal, satellite and hybrid view maps; route planning and real-time tracking; route export, import and sharing; and the ability to add and share point of interest and share routes via Dropbox.
Users can also benefit from information about the weather including wave height and period; NMEA GPS, AIS, wind speed and direction gauges; and tide, moon and sun times.
Additionally, NaviPlotter’s AR FLIR ONE camera support offers night and fog-vision views.
Available as a free download with Apple iTunes in-app purchases, NaviPlotter works on iPhones and iPads.
