METS 2013: Digital Deep Sea is set for a busy week as it prepares to introduce a range of new products at METS 2013, taking place from 19 to 21 November in Amsterdam RAI.

The marine electronic manufacturer will showcase its new navigation products including the PilotLINK, a wireless interface for Class A AIS systems which allows mobile devices to connect wirelessly to the ship’s AIS/GPS system.

Digital Yacht says its new GPS150 DualNav positioning sensor, which will also be on show, is for “next generation navigation”.

The system combines a 50 channel GPS with GLONASS, the Russian funded satellite positioning system, to provide “super accurate”, sub 1m positioning.

In addition, the company’s new safety product, an IMO-approved AIS search and rescue transponder (SART), will also be introduced at the show along with a new combination AIS-GPS antenna and a two channel NMEA 0183 data combiner (Multiflexer).

Also on show at the trade event will be company’s latest technology-related products.

The Aqua Adapt PC is a mini PC specifically designed for use onboard and comes with an Intel i3 processor and 8GB RAM as well as 64GB solid state drive.

It enables boat owners to use Windows 8.1 so the mini PC can act as a hub for a navigation system. With this, users can download weather overlays, multi-screen chart displays or route optimisation.

A new self-contained hi-power WiFi antenna has also been designed to allow boat owners to access the internet through WiFi hotspots whilst onboard.
