Leather & Lycra and 5-A-Side footie

PSP SBS: The two main evening events this year are tonight’s (Tuesday) 5-A-Side Football event being organised by Mike Shepherd and Wednesday’s Leather & Lycra, returning for its 5th year.
Both are charity events – the 5-A-Side Football will raise funds for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and G4 Surgery at Southampton General Hospital.
Leather & Lycra is again raising funds for Riders for Health, which provides motorcycles to enable medicines and treatments to be distributed in hard-to-reach regions of Africa.
The 5-A-Side Football was just about full when we last spoke to Mike Shepherd, but if you fancy having a last at go at an entry, check it with Mike on 07786 265455.
Wednesday’s Leather & Lycra will have about 15 bikers and 20 runners. Again, if you fancy a late run or ride, check it out with Andy Sims on 07973 850012. But be warned; it’s a fund raising event and we’ll be out to get money at the auction after the meal on Wednesday night. And we’ve got some very desirable lots on offer.
