Marine DNA buys BoatBitz
Marine DNA – part of the Marine Electronic Services group – recently acquired the online marine equipment retailer BoatBitz.co.uk with the idea of introducing an expanded product offering to it customer base.
PURCHASE: Marine DNA has acquired online marine equipment retailer BoatBitz.co.uk writes Katina Read.
Marine DNA is jointly owned by Bristol based Marine Electronic Services and London based Cactus Navigation and says the deal will allow it to introduce an expanded product offering to its customer base.
The new operation will be headed by David Williams who said: ‘Marine Electronic Services and Cactus will continue to focus 100% on marine electronic products and will have a cross marketing relationship with BoatBitz. The business will also be able to leverage its operation with a new showroom and significantly advanced logistics and IT capability.’
Marine DNA will be developing own brand products this year.
