Record year for ASAP Supplies with 8% turnover growth touching £3m
RECORD: A.S.A.P. Supplies has reported a record year after benefiting from investments that have seen the company’s turnover grow by 8% in 2010/11, touching £3m for the first time in the company’s 23 year history.
Many of the changes adopted by A.S.A.P over the past year have been carried out with enhanced customer service uppermost in mind. They include increased stockholding to meet orders without delay, a new accounting system to improve service and efficiency and a restructured sales and management team to ensure the best use of in-house resources.
A significant investment has also been made in a new one-stop-shop website to ensure quick and efficient ordering and fulfilment.
The company has seen a significant increase in its web based orders and has streamlined its operations and gained new business to achieve the impressive overall growth in its turnover.
Visitors to the A.S.A.P stand at the recent Tullett Prebon London Boat Show will also have noticed a new, fresh looking exhibition stand intended to highlight A.S.A.P’s wide range of marine equipment and high standards of service.
“This has been a tough but exciting year for A.S.A.P Supplies,” said CEO and co-founder, Peter Edwards. “It’s great to see our customer base expanding and we thank every one of them for continuing to use us. Customers are our business and we will continue to deliver the high level of service that our customers expect of us.”
“Our business culture is based around our customers and customer satisfaction, ensuring that we offer the best service,” added operations director, Shaun Wigley. “The outstanding results achieved this year reflect this.”
Shaun Wigley last month won the Scott Deverell Young Businessperson of the Year Award in recognition of his work in restructuring A.S.A.P.
