Ross Wilkinson: ‘looking for a new challenge’

After spending 12 years with Navimo UK, Ross Wilkinson has moved to McMurdo as sales director, concentrating on Kannad and McMurdo emergency beacons and safety equipment.

NEW JOB: Ross Wilkinson has joined McMurdo as sales director to play a key role in promoting sales growth across the world and developing and maintaining an effective sales distribution and service network.

 

Mr Wilkinson’s responsibilities will be focused on McMurdo’s Kannad Marine and McMurdo brands of emergency location beacons and safety equipment in the maritime and leisure marine sectors, as well as the Davis brand of weather instruments, for which McMurdo is the UK distributor. 

 

He will also be working with the marketing department to develop further a world leading presence with all the brands.

 

Formerly general manager at Navimo UK, Mr Wilkinson told BB: ‘I’ve been working at Navimo for 12 years and I wanted a new challenge. McMurdo has gained major strategic strengths through its acquisition by Orolia last autumn. Plus we have launched a number of new brands and products, designed to address new markets.’

 

‘We’re delighted to have appointed someone of Ross’s capabilities,’ said Jeremy Harrison, president and CEO of McMurdo. ‘He brings a wealth of experience across with him from his former role and his detailed knowledge of McMurdo products and the market place will enable him to play a vital part in helping the company achieve its goals of extending its reach further worldwide with an innovative range of life saving products.’
