Sea Sure to sell direct
Sea Sure products will now be available direct to customers and chandlers.
Marine hardware manufacturer and distributor Sea Sure has announced that all chandlers and customers now have the option of dealing directly with the company if they want to order or buy products.
For XM distribution outlets, Sea Sure mount the products on display cards for presentation purposes. However, more and more chandlers have requested that to maximise in-store space and allow different display options they would prefer not to use this type of packaging and want 'uncarded' or 'loose' products.
Sea Sure has says it has "responded quickly and effectively to the demands of the marketplace" by providing customers and chandlers with what they want. "The new initiative of supplying direct means that people can order Sea Sure branded products quickly and simply, " said Managing Director Graham Brown.
Representatives from Sailforce will be acting on Sea Sure's behalf and will be making regular visits to all chandlers and boat builders in the UK to help with product information and merchandising. Sailforce can be contacted direct or through the Sea Sure sales office.
Sea Sure manufactures a wide range of performance fittings and equipment. It has recently merged operations with Blakes Lavac Taylors, the well known manufacturers of heaters, cookers and toilets. The company's expansion programme has also embraced other product lines including Metalstyle lights and accessories, LVM wind generators, pumps and solar panels, SMEV marine cookers and the original stainless steel Jubilee hose clip range.
Having merged operations with Blakes Lavac Taylors and taken on the distribution of new brands, the Warsash company is now also distributing Jubilee stainless steel hose clips, Kong shackles and carbines, Nicopress and Felco fittings, Curry knives, Sure shackles and clips, SMEV cookers, LVM generators, solar panels and pumps, Trem navigation lights, and Metalstyle lights and wheels.
Managing Director Graham Brown said: "By taking on the new products we are expanding our range based on what we already manufacture ourselves."
Brown took over as Managing Director 18 months ago and is the grandson of Harry Brown who founded Sea Sure over 40 years ago.
Originally Sea Sure were toolmakers and tool making still takes place in this fully integrated business where design, development, manufacturing and distribution are carried out on site.
Products from this company have been used in every Olympics since the business was started.
