Sealine parts company with Ancasta
Sealine: takes back South Coast sales operation
DEALERSHIP: Following the sale of Sealine to the California based Oxford Investment Group, the South Coast dealership, held by Ancasta, reverted to Sealine when the contract ended on 31 August, 2011.
“We’re very proud of the way we represented Sealine over the past four years,” said Nick Griffith, Ancasta MD. “Having sold 115 new Sealines and several hundred used models, we were optimistic the new owners of Sealine would see value in our infrastructure and market presence.”
It was a surprise to all of us they didn’t, he added. “We look forward to announcing a replacement motor boat brand soon to ensure our new boat team reflects our strong commitment to this segment of the market.”
The OIG view of the change is that Sealine International will be returning to the South Coast with a direct retail operation to provide a complete range of sales and after sales services for new and existing Sealine customers.
The factory owned operation will initially be located at Saxon Wharf in Southampton, prior to moving into a state of the art showroom that will house the complete range of Sealine models from 35 to 60ft.
The new operation will provide a complete range of after sales services together with new and used boat sales and Roger Wakefield, head of after sales at Sealine’s headquarters in Kidderminster, will become general manger for Sealine South Coast with immediate effect.
“We are delighted to be returning to the South Coast with a factory owned retail operation,” said Sealine MD James Bursey.
