Victory for the TP London Boat Show
A bit of HMS Victory’s rig will be at ExCeL
VICTORY: The 2012 Tullett Prebon London Boat Show will have a copy of a fully rigged fore topgallant yardarm from the rig of Nelson’s 18th century flagship during the battle of Trafalgar.
Visitors will get the unique, once in a lifetime opportunity to scale the copy of rigging from HMS Victory. The fully rigged section of mast will tower above the show as the centrepiece of the ever popular Classic Boat attraction in association with Teamac Marine Paints.
Usually found 150ft above the deck, this impressive attraction will allow visitors to climb up the rigging to experience what it was like to be aloft on an 18th century 1st rate 100 gun Ship of the Line. All this will take place under the watchful supervision of the National Museum of the Royal Navy at Portsmouth.
The Tullett Prebon London Boat Show runs at ExCeL from 6 – 15 January 2012.
