YDSA 2010 annual conference set for March 18

The Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association (YDSA) is holding its annual conference on Thursday March 18.

CONFERENCE: The 2010 Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association (YDSA) annual conference focuses on yacht design changes since the 1930s and their effects on surveying.
 
The event begins at 09.15 when a number of industry speakers will discuss modern British boatbuilding, wooden boats, GRP and FRP and possible influences on the insurer’s perspective, concluding in an open forum, at 16.15, led by Ted Spears, the YDSA chairman.
 
‘This long standing annual event is one of the best for networking, dissemination of ideas and professional development available in the industry,’ commented Richard Ayres, current YDSA president.
 
The conference takes place at the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), at 10 Upper Belgrave Street, London SW1X 8BQ. The conference is open to non-members, members and subscribers with lunch and refreshments provided.
 
All delegates attending the conference are entitled to three CPD points - continuing professional development accreditations
