INLAND WATERWAYS: Current plans for the crossing of the Trent & Mersey Canal near to the popular visitor site of Fradley Junction and adjacent to the picturesque Woodend Lock on, by the second phase of the HS2 railway could mean four permanent and two temporary new bridges, writes Harry Arnold.
