Rolls-Royce is working on a project to convert its mtu engine to run on green methanol

A new project to develop a high-performance marine engine capable of running on green methanol has avowed its goals at a kick-off meeting in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

Rolls-Royce, Woodward L’Orange and WTZ Roßlau have been working together since the beginning of 2023 on the ‘MeOHmare’ project.
