Boating’s economic impact increases 36%

US boating

The annual economic impact of recreational boating in the States has increased 36% over the last five years, from $170B in 2018 to $230B in 2023.

The figures are from data collated by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) which found the industry’s contributions to the US workforce also grew, with an 18% increase in jobs supported, from 691,000 in 2018 to more than 812,000 in 2023.
