Raft updates from VETUS
VETUS has expanded many of its product lines during 2018 with a raft of updates and additions.
The ALTUS hatch now includes a 21 mm high aluminium profile. It has a 10mm acrylic window and is designed for category A Area II applications.
Also expanded is the MAGNUS series of hatches designed for ocean use, category A Area I.
VETUS has added flexibility to waste water systems with its new Y-connectors.
The waste water connector line-up now consists of a three-way valve, an Y connector, a non-return valve and the additional hose connectors.
Two bow thrusters have been updated – the BOW2512D and BOW3512D – with the solid motor coupling of the D-series replaced with a flexible rubber coupling to eliminate motor vibrations.
The new BOW2512E and BOW3512E also feature a new motor, making them more energy efficient than the outgoing BOWxx12D models.
VETUS’s next generation VF 4 cylinder common-rail engines have variable geometry turbochargers and range from 145hp to 190hp.
The new VF4 has a CAN bus system with SAEJ1939 protocol but can also be used for NMEA2000. The VF4 fits to the same footprint as the previous model.
The CAPTAIN seat has been given a make-over - the CAPTSEAT3 is an ergonomically shaped base seat without cushions. A cushion set is available in two colours.
The new SEAMAN seat has a retro appearance with extra padding to make long journeys more comfortable.
