New collection is designed for flexibility
Plastimo is to launch its new Activ’ collection of garments tailored to suit all sea wear activities.
The company has teamed up with French stylists and designers with the mission to create hi-tech performance gear equally adapted to seaside leisure activities and active boating.
“Every element in our garments has been submitted to stringent tests and selected for its ability to guarantee high performance and durable quality,” said Cathy Millien, Plastimo communication manager.
“When sailing, the weather is always changing. People are more and more used to practicing different kinds of nautical activities.
“Based on this observation, Plastimo decided to develop an extremely versatile collection that adapts to all activities and weather conditions.”
Three-layer laminated fabric is used for optimum flexibility for enhanced mobility on board and unhindered movements. It also contributes towards regulating body temperature, explained Cathy.
The outer shell is water-repellent and protects the membrane. It has some stretch capacity for added comfort
A microporous hydrophobic membrane ensures waterproofness, breathability and acts as a wind-cheater function.
The inner layer is soft and supple and also protects the membrane.
The Activ’ jacket features a removable gaiter for greater air and water ingress protection and articulated elbows for extra flexibility.
The hi-fit trousers have a removable waist wrap for extra warmth and protection on the stomach and back.
The Activ’ range also includes a tailored fit for women.
The garments will be available from Aquafax early 2019.
