New anchor winches from VETUS
The new Maxwell Tasman series of winches from VETUS are suitable for high performance RIBs and tenders among other craft.
The high-performance drum winches have been developed to be robust and reliable.
They feature the Maxwell 1000 watt and 600 watt motors and have a line speed up to 60m a minute.
The winches provide are designed to ensuring an anchor can be deployed and retrieved quickly and efficiently.
The gearbox is made from marine grade aluminium and anodised for optimal protection.
The winches have larger diameter shafts, large bearings and seals and a robust design.
With the 5mm thick drum plates fitted to a high strength 2205 grade stainless steel shaft of 28.5mm diameter, the assembly is sturdy enough to pull up to 1000kg.
Large diameter plain bearings ensure a longer life in the harsh marine environment, while the non-gearbox end has a self-lubricated composite bearing for minimal maintenance.
The Tasman winches can be installed in 14 different positions with 15° increments and have a large diameter stainless steel output hub.
An emergency operation allows anchor deployment if power is lost.
