4G hardware and data available
For CA Clase, one of the more important advances in 2019 has been the rise of 4G.
“4G has fantastic potential for providing essential communication, route planning, logging ship data or to provide entertainment onboard your vessel,” explained CA Clase’s Paul Childs.
“Until now it has been complicated with which device to choose, which further becomes a minefield when knowing which SIM card to provide; that’s before you have to delve into APN settings and other complicated ‘background settings’ that are essential to making the device work.”
After providing the hardware for several years, CA Clase recognised users’ frustration, so has formed close links with providers Vodafone, EE and O2 and is now able to provide a complete solution offering both hardware and data.
Another benefit, explained Paul, is the SIMs are commercial grade priority SIM cards, which give users priority on the network and data when normal SIM cards or phones may struggle.
“We tested this at Glastonbury Festival and could get online, while others could not make phone calls or send texts,” he said.
Thirty day rolling contracts are available allowing customers to tailor a plan to their needs.
The SatFi 4G router works globally. One phone call covers you for any hardware or data questions. Handling both the data and hardware ensures we can get to the bottom of your query quickly and react accordingly.
