Energy Solutions focuses on greener power
A shore power transformer with boost feature and electric drives for smaller craft have been the main focuses for Energy Solutions (UK) during 2019.
This year the company has introduced a resized version of its IsoBoost units that are identical in size and functionality to a Charles Industries range that was discontinued in 2016.
“If a boat needs to replace an existing Charles Industries IsoBoost, our 12kVA and 24kVA USA units will slot into the space perfectly – a huge help in keeping installation and refurbishment costs as low as possible," said MD Paul Holland. "Obviously they are also a great option for new builds and we are seeing a strong demand from that area as well.”
Also in 2019 the company signed an agreement with WaterWorld to be its exclusive distributor for the WaterWorld range of electric inboard motors for the UK marine market. Energy Solutions will initially sell two models - 4.0 kW and 10.0 kW – as well as being the service partner for UK, carrying stock of spare parts.
“This is an affordable electric option and easy to install – just one unit for motor and controller, no water cooling system and a direct connection to the shaft, without any gearbox,” said Hugh Cunningham, technical sales, Energy Solutions.
Energy Solutions is also seeing an increasing demand from clients for hybrid solutions and lithium battery systems with solar inputs.
