Expansion during 2019 for MCI
Marine Components International (MCI), has expanded this year under the management of Andy Scott who took over the business in 2017.
Under his leadership the new team at MCI has doubled turnover in the last two years to £1.35m with growth being driven in-part by improved stock holding and supply lines.
New products have been introduced in established portfolio brands including Bennett Marine trim tabs with a new Auto Trim Pro product.
MCI has also introduced new Groco BSPP ball valves/strainers and fittings.
Another area of growth is MCI’s Dr Shrink range with a new European approved FR shrink film.
New distributor deals have been struck with several brands including with BSB for the global rights to distribute its range of A60 fire dampers, which are a mandatory requirement on all SOLAS-compliant vessels over 500 gross tons.
In addition, MCI will distribute the latest range of Duarry ISO9650 lightweight liferafts in the UK.
Another new deal has seen MCI sign as distributor for Echopilot's new forward-looking sonar systems, the FLS 3D, that can 'see' 100m ahead of a boat in 5m of water.
