Foiling is hot topic at RYA Dinghy Show
The latest developments in foiling will be discussed by Alan Hillman at the 2018 RYA Dinghy Show.
Leading on the topic of Future Foiling, Mr Hillman will talk about how to get started and give delegates a sneak peek at what’s coming next.
Experienced in everything from Extreme 40 World Championships and Barcelona World Race to Laser 4000 and SB20 National Champion, most recently Mr Hillman has been instrumental in the introduction of the F101 foiling trimaran.
Foiling dinghies on display at the show will include Whisper Class Association; F101 Class Association; Flying Mantis (ISBF); Waszp UK Class; Harken (Nacra 17) and SWAC (Foiling Laser).
For the first time, the show will have a Women’s Sailing Hub featuring inspirational female sailors to provide insight, information and top tips.
Speakers include Mary Rook and Kate McGregor from The Magenta Project, the first all-female team to compete in the Extreme Sailing Series.
Olympic gold medalist Hannah Mills and Eilidh McIntyre, who last year as a team took silver at the 470 World Championships and gold in the World Cup Series Final, will also be at the show, alongside Paralympic gold medalist Helena Lucas.
In addition, Crewsaver’s new watersports range will be available for purchase. Its waterproof race top with a 10K hydrostatic head is fused with soft internal fleece lining, while its spray top has a hydrostatic head waterproof rating to 20K and is breathable up to 6K.
