Solar panels are camouflaged with the surface
For Solbian, Boot 2018 will see the world premier of its pigmented solar panels designed for ‘perfect’ optical integration.
The iSP-Series is a range of pigmented solar panels with different textures such as teak or canvas.
“The latter option in particular, created in collaboration with the startup company ILOOXS, will be under the spotlight at this year's show,” said a company spokesman. “ILOOXS owns a proprietary technology that enables to recreate high quality images on the surface of SolbianFlex solar panels without major impact on its efficiency.
“This allows users to fully customise the module with a graphic design, opening the door to completely innovative scenarios.”
The panels start from three colour variants - black, white and transparent – and go up to the most innovative solution.
The series combines the power of SunPower cells with the texture of the surface to which it is installed, camouflaging the panel.
“There are numerous aspects that characterise a photovoltaic installation - Solbian tries to provide the widest margin of choice for each of them,” added the spokesman.
“Possibilities don’t stop at the technical aspects, aesthetics are also playing an important role.”
