New lightweight lifejacket
TeamO Marine Safety Products is to launch its new Micro lifejacket at METSTRADE 2019.
The Micro been designed for day sailors, rib drivers and anyone who is on the water for daytime sport activities including fishing.
It has been developed to be a comfortable, lightweight lifejacket that will not hinder movement but which still offers all of the ISO-standard performance needed to keep wearers safe.
“The Micro is the smallest, lightest inshore lifejacket available on the market,” explained Lauren Mead, TeamO marketing and sales director. “It is 15% lighter than any other lifejacket at just 750grams (based on research of ten other styles from the market leading brands).”
She added: “The new cover shape allows for an absolutely tiny lifejacket, particularly over the shoulders and behind the neck. You really can hardly feel that you are wearing a lifejacket at all.
“I think it is going to be an easy choice for coaches and support crew who spend long days in ribs supporting race fleets who find current lifejackets heavy and cumbersome.”
The lifejacket has been ISO approved to 170N. It has a micro cover with racer back styling and an ergonomic profile that reduces size without reducing performance.
Other features include a quick-burst zip, increased manoeuvrability with a thinner profile and a lightweight dog-bone style closure. A whistle is also included.
Three colour options are available. The jacket is made in the UK.
