Technology and engineering at METSTRADE
METSTRADE, taking place from November 19 - 21 at RAI Amsterdam, will provide learning opportunities through a dedicated programme of technical and engineering topics.
Around 1650 companies from 55 countries will exhibit, alongside conferences and seminars organised by The Superyacht Group, HISWA, NMEA, PIANC RecCom, the Global Marina Institute, Yachtmedia and Studio Pegorari, amongst others.
There will also be three stages located on the exhibition floor - the I-nnovationLAB, the E-nnovationLAB and the Construction in Process Stage.
The I-nnovationLAB Stage
Presentations on this stage will cover engineering innovations, including adaptive manufacturing and composite products via 3D printing, a new spray deflection technique and research into hydrofoils. Sustainability in the luxury yacht sector will also be on the agenda together with a discussion on digital disruption.
The E-nnovationLAB Stage
The E-nnovation Lab focuses on electronic, electric and hybrid solutions. Topics include hybrid propulsion on sailing yachts, the electrification of charter boats, adapted hydrodynamics in the service of improved electric propulsion and a talk on battery technology.
Construction in Process Stage
The Construction in Process Stage is an interactive platform for CMP exhibitors to explain their production process, demonstrate new solutions and share in-depth knowledge with narrower audiences. Sessions cover a broad selection of materials and techniques, such as epoxy solutions and sustainable production methods.
