Garmin to unveil new range at Seawork
Garmin International will be showcasing its marine products at this year’s Seawork, designed for individuals working within the commercial sector and vessels from fishing boats and workboats to RIBs.
Products on display include the new GPSMAP 8400 and Echomap Ultra series, the latest Bluechart G3 cartography as well as the award-winning Panoptix Livescope.
Available in 10, 12 and 16-inch displays that feature full HD in-plane switching screens with multi-touch control, the GPSMAP 8400/8400xsv series is Wi-Fi enabled so that mariners can customise their marine electronics system based on their needs and preferences.
A new line of 10 and 12-inch touchscreen chartplotters, the ECHOMAP Ultra series has built-in support for Garmin’s Ultra High-Definition scanning sonar as well as the Panoptix LiveScope series. The ECHOMAP Ultra 102sv and ECHOMAP Ultra 122sv are available bundled with the new Ultra High-Definition GT54UHD-TM all-in-one transducer with SideVü that operates at 455 kHz.
BlueChart g3 and BlueChart g3 Vision are new cartography products for coastal and inland boating. Both have charts offering Auto Guidance1, a technology that instantly searches through relevant charts to create a suggested route based upon the user’s desired depth and overhead clearance.
Panoptix LiveScope is a live scanning sonar delivering live images in real-time even while stationary. The device features two modes in one transducer – LiveScope Down and LiveScope Forward – and can be installed on a trolling motor or the transom.
Garmin will be exhibiting at Seawork in June on stand PG62.
