Lifejacket includes an array of key features
Survitec is to launch its rope access 3D 275N lifejacket at Seawork International 2017. Specifically designed for the comfort and safety of those operating at height, the lifejacket includes an array of key features bespoke for use in an offshore environment.
The lifejacket has been designed in conjunction with offshore operators and encompasses an ergonomic 3D shaping aimed at giving users freedom of movement and flexibility around the neck.
The product has been manufactured to SOLAS safety standards and includes an approved light, whistle and reflective tape ensuring users are located quickly if they fall into the water. In addition, there is a chin support to help keep airways clear when in the water and two accessible lifting points on the front of the jacket to assist recovery.
The lifejacket can be worn with any integrated fall arrest harness, providing the user with a ‘complete safety solution’.
“The rope access lifejacket is the next level in lifejacket design for those operating offshore and at height,” said Nigel Parkes, Survitec design manager. “Throughout these designs, we have worked to improve both the comfort of the lifejacket and the integration with a number of leading fall arrest harness options.”
In addition, Survitec will show a number of new products added following the company’s merger with the marine safety business of Wilhelmsen Maritime Services AS.
Key additions to the Survitec portfolio that will be exhibited at Seawork include fire safety systems, fire products and service solutions and a broader range of rental and servicing capabilities.
Also at the show will be the recently launched 1000 series tri-approved wind energy suit, specifically designed for the renewable energy industry to provide the ultimate protection for personnel travelling over water.
Survitec will be on stand PO51.
