New fast vessel Seawork event
The new two-day event Speed@Seawork held as part of Seawork, is aimed at facilitating growth and development for the design, build and operation of fast vessels operating at high speed for security interventions and search and rescue.
Speed@Seawork sea trials and conference will enable demonstrations, knowledge-sharing, innovation and best practice for communications, navigation and safety equipment from manufacturers and integrators.
Speed@Seawork is being launched in response to sustained industry demand for a dedicated event for fast vessel builders, operators and specialist equipment manufacturers,” explained Andrew Webster, CEO of Seawork organiser Mercator Media. “Speed@Seawork aims to bring them together to trial equipment in diverse sea states, share best practice and make the connections and innovations needed for high-speed critical operations to be a success.”
The event will run in parallel with the main Seawork 2018 exhibition with the second day seeing the Speed@Seawork Conference cover sector-specific topics including hull design, vessel building, propulsion, navigation and communication in addition to biomechanics and crew welfare.
Speakers will include members of the Royal Navy, technical directors, specialist equipment developers and suppliers.
Speed @ Seawork takes place from July 2 – 3 2018. Seawork takes place from July 3 – 5 at Mayflower Park, Southampton.
