Seawork exhibitor Hella marine is offering LED lighting that release emissions outside the scope of electrical equipment to ensure it does not cause radio interference.

The lighting, supplied by A.S.A.P. Supplies, was recently fitted to Audacious marine’s 10m Cougar Catamaran at the Port of Ramsgate. It consisted of NaviLED Pro’s for all the navigation lights, DuraLED 12’s for compartments under the deck, Euro LED 130’s in the wheel house and DuraLED 50 LP’s for the deck space.

Paul Cannon, owner of Audacious marine, commented: “The lights work really well and solved all the interference issues we were experiencing; we have tried several other LED options in the past with no success. We will definitely be offering these for future production.”

Powerful lighting

The 66-degree wide angle of light given off by the DuraLED 50LP’s was able to easily light up the deck space on the catamaran. The Euro LED 130 for the wheelhouse also allows boaters to not only dim the light but switch between a white and red light to preserve natural night vision.

A.S.A.P. Supplies will be at Seawork to exhibit products including General Ecology’s range of marine drinking water purifiers, replacement purifier filter elements and pre-filter systems.

The water purifiers feature General Ecology's advanced ‘structured matrix’ technology to provide safe water on demand and the filters remove chemicals and aesthetic contaminants, including: herbicides, pesticides, chlorine, foul tastes, odours and colours, as well as dramatically reducing plastic waste and the need to buy and store bottled water.

Hella Marine will be on stand SB25 at Seawork 2018 and A.S.A.P. Supplies will be on stand PG91.
