Spinlock SOLAS lifejacket launch
Spinlock is to launch the latest model of its Duro SOLAS 275N automatic lifejacket at Seawork 2018.
The lifejacket has a wear resistant coated nylon cover that is used across Spinlock’s Duro ‘for industry’ range, as well as enhanced features and fit.
Utilising the original design, the Duro SOLAS is designed for its comfort and fit, with a split rear back strap and low cut front fit for easy integration with majority of fall arrest harasses and product ID card pocket that can be utilised to insert RFID tags for asset tracking.
A dual chamber inflated bladder has high levels of buoyancy and enhanced turning facilities. The Duro SOLAS can be fitted with spray hood, range of external packs and the Seawork Innovation award winning Lume-On life jacket lights.
Continued growth in life jacket sales in leisure and commercial sectors has incentivised increased investment from Spinlock in new machinery for bladder production in its Cowes production facility with the addition of a high precision flatbed CNC cutting table coupled with sophisticated HF welding equipment. The latest flatbed CNC machine installed uses vacuum technology to draw fabric across the table and increases production efficiency by using the latest nesting software to reduce wasted material during the pinpoint accurate cutting process.
Spinlock’s new HF shuttle welding equipment is kept in an environmentally controlled facility and uses clam style tools to ensure quality welds are produced. Every bladder produced is pressure checked by the assembly team before it is fitted into the finished product.
Not only does the new equipment increase productivity it is also instrumental in reducing research and development time on new products.
Spinlock will be on stand PG147.
