Industry Database

Tohatsu Outboards is collaborating with Patriot Marine at Seawork 2018 to exhibit Japanese manufactured 4-stroke and 2 stroke outboards alongside the new Patriot 700 fishing and workboat.

Patriot 700 is built to Seafish standards and boasts a new hull with stability designed specifically for those with limited mobility.

It can have two doors allowing boarding from aft or midships using ramps and specially designed grab rails. The vessel also benefits from a deep freeboard and has been designed to maximise deck space, enabling wheelchairs to be safely and securely anchored.

The model is supplied with a Seafish Certificate, approved to RCD Cat ‘C’ and can be MCA coded.

Bigger engines

2018 marks a significant milestone for Tohatsu Outboards, which has undertaken a worldwide re-branding project to coincide with the cumulative production of 4m outboard engines.

The company has a new tagline of ‘Simpliq Technology’, a new logo depicting the ‘Wings of Tohatsu’ and new tagline Feel the Wind.

It confirmed Tohatsu-manufactured larger engines will be released in 2019.
