50th year for E. P. Barrus
Barrus is marking its 50th year at Southampton International Boat Show with a fresh look and feel to its growing number of stands.
“We’re looking forward to this year’s show,” said Ben Allen, Marine Leisure Division, E. P. Barrus general manager. “With our biggest presence yet, it’s time to prove our determination to continuously move forward in the industry and follow the company’s roots of vision and innovation.”
The main Barrus stand, E050, will include Mariner outboard engines, Yanmar and John Deere inboard engines and a range of inflatable boats.
Mercury Marine, another Barrus brand, is also celebrating a milestone this year - its 80th anniversary. To mark the occasion, stand E069 will have a selection of engines through the years on display in addition to a timeline of Mercury owner’s outboard engines over the decades.
The latest Mercury Racing 450R outboard engine will also make its UK debut at the show.
Following the launch of the Quicksilver Bowrider models at last year’s show, Barrus will launch the latest Quicksilver model on stand F020.
The last Barrus stand will be J316 where, for the first time at SIBS, the Barrus Marine Equipment division will show a selection from its brands, from Barton Marine to Talamex, Besto, Glomex and Navico.
