New product line helps Nautor grow
Nautor’s Swan credits a recent product range renewal with helping the company to increase turnover by 26%.
The luxury boat builder has six new models under construction contributing to an active order portfolio of over €110m. The new line comprises the Swan 48, 65, 98 and 120 together with ClubSwans 36 and 125, the former of which features an inboard version of Torqeedo’s Cruise 10.0 electric drive system.
As well as the new lines, the company is currently predicting an over 50% forecast in 2019 thanks to technological breakthroughs, development of its racing programme and a focus on customer satisfaction.
The company has invested more than €10m in unifying its three manufacturing plants into the new Boatbuilding Technology Centre at Pietarsaari, which it believes will give greater control of the manufacturing process.
The site has a new logistics centre, spray booth and oven together with a state-of-the-art composite shop and clean room.
Customer service and racing
The Med Service project is now underway with the relaunch of the Palma Customer Care base in partnership with Spanish refitters, EMV whilst the racing programme has been enhanced with new winter training sessions and a performance analysis project.
