X Shore launches new series at Düsseldorf
Swedish electrical boat manufacturer, X Shore, is launching its new model, the Eelex 6500, at Düsseldorf Boat Show next week.
The Eelex series is fully electrically-powered and comes in two models, the 6.5m 6500 and 8m 8000 with the former debuting at this year’s Düsseldorf.
X Shore founder, Konrad Bergström, values the benefits an electrical boat can bring. “X Shore boats are vanguard in technology, design and sustainability,” he said.
“Once you’ve experienced the sea without noise and fumes, there is no turning back. It’s magic. That is why we are so strongly committed to contribute to a fossil fuel free shift of the marine industry."
Developed in collaboration with Rolls-Royce and built under the aegis of fellow Swedish boat builder, Storebro, both models have a top speed of 40 knots and can travel up to 100 nautical miles on a single charge at a slower pace.
Charging takes eight hours for the smaller model and 12 hours for the 8000.
