Fischer Panda strengthens Fairline links
Fischer Panda is to supply its variable speed iSeries 5000i Neo and 8000i generators for the F//Line 33, adding to the current deal for the supply of its Panda PMS 10,000i model as standard for the Fairline Targa 43 OPEN.
The F//Line 33, the latest day boat from Fairline, is designed by the 2018 World Yacht Trophies Yacht Designer of the Year winner, Alberto Mancini.
“Confirmation of this exclusive agreement for the F//Line 33 really highlights our capabilities to supply multi-voltage, multi-frequency generators to fulfil the requirements of global boatbuilders," said Chris Fower, marketing director, Fischer Panda UK.
Whilst the iSeries are AC generators, Fischer Panda is seeing DC generators become an increasingly popular choice as more boat owners opt for hybrid system power solutions.
DC gensets dramatically extend a vessel’s cruising range and recharge the batteries more quietly and faster than any other generator of comparable size and weight.
“With the improvements in battery technology and larger battery banks, onboard power will be increasingly supported by DC generators with a large on-board inverter system," explained Chris.
"Solar and wind is not enough, so the diesel input is needed as a back-up source. A battery-charging DC generator can run for a certain period, such as a couple of hours a day. This solution means range problems will not be an issue, while an inverter can provide 230 volts AC for ample onboard power."
