By adding products from digital switching company CZone to its portfolio of generators, watermakers, HVAC and power systems, Fischer Panda UK can now offer an integrated design and supply approach.

This allows customers to manage, control and monitor their on-board equipment, as well as optimise separate components for size, weight and capacity.

“When it comes down to offering a robust, reliable and well supported power, control and monitoring package, there are few, if any, shortcuts, without having to oversize equipment for the ‘just in case’ scenario,” explained David Payne, technical sales, Fischer Panda UK.

“This is ever more critical when extended functionality and logic control are incorporated to ensure automated power control to optimise the most efficient or preferred operation mode dependent on duty cycle, priority time and place.”

Interface modules

And he explained that CZone offers a complete line of interface modules running on the NMEA2000 network. The latest product is the Touch 5 screen with built in Wi-Fi for additional connectivity to on board Wi-Fi enabled devices such as tablets.

“CZone adds the control, monitoring and expandability to enable customer friendly, focused, familiar interfaces or touch screens,” added David. “In a practical setting on board, this can utilise the most efficient power source, be it shore supply from single or multiple cables, inverter, generators or alternators for a particular mode of operation, plus monitoring real time on board loads.”

Reduced maintenance

Emissions are then reduced together with fuel consumption and maintenance costs. In addition, the system reduces noise and enables faster, more efficient battery recharge.

“With the smart full system package from Fisher Panda UK, the key equipment components can often be optimised for real savings in weight, installation and space on board, whilst increasing the functionality reliability and flexibility of both custom and series build projects,” David concluded.
