Mercury Marine partners with Scanstrut
Mercury Marine has partnered with Scanstrut to supply its ROKK range of mounts, waterproof power and charging products to support the engine company’s VesselView Mobile technology.
VesselView Mobile allows boaters to use a smartphone or tablet to connect with a Mercury outboard or sterndrive engine.
The plug-and-play engine module connects via Bluetooth to provide access to the engine’s data.
The ROKK range allows boaters to install, view and charge devices anywhere on-board.
“The product team and engineers and at Mercury have been extremely thorough in their review of ROKK products and its testament to the quality of the product that Mercury has selected the range to support use of VesselView on-board,” said Scanstrut’s CEO Tom Reed. “ROKK will allow the app to easily view their device and keep it powered-up all day so they can enjoy the amazing benefits of the Mercury technology.”
Senior product manager for Mercury Marine, Walter Ross, added: “Mercury is committed to making boating easy for the consumer and we are excited to provide any opportunity that allows our award-winning technology to improve the boating experience.”
Scanstrut has also launched a new addition to the range - ROKK Wireless that provides an outdoor-ready 12-24V wireless charge system that includes a hidden version that provides under-surface charging stations.
