New VSAT antenna from CA Clase
CA Clase has launched the KVH TracPhone V3HTS that uses the latest generation of high throughput satellites for global connectivity and voice calls.
The compact marine VSAT has data speeds as fast as 5Mbps down and 2Mbps up using the mini-VSAT Broadband HTS Network, explained Paul Childs, CA Clase leisure marine sales manager.
“The V3HTS is a lightweight, high performance 37cm antenna that packs a punch,” he said. “It outperforms many larger competing systems currently on the market.”
The high-efficiency antenna uses KVH’s RingFire design and dielectric rod feed to ensure Ku-band reception even in bad weather.
An advanced antenna controller provides high-speed tracking and a dynamic, gyro-stabilised system seeks the optimum satellite within the network.
Flexible metered airtime plans are available to suit an individual’s usage with the ability to switch between data plans.
The antenna measures 39.4cm by 44.7cm and weighs 11.3kg.
