A marine distribution agreement with Bowers & Wilkins means Timage is now able to offer a full range of marine stereos and speakers.

“Bowers & Wilkins is known for its quality,” explained Timage director Oliver Lanza. “They provide in-car audio for Volvo, BMW and Maserati among others. It’s a prestigious name in the industry.”

He added: “The speakers together with our range of Rockford Fosgate stereos, amplifiers and sub-woofers means we have every angle covered.”

Two of the latest stereos are the PMX-8 and the PMX-5 that both connect with an NMEA signaling system into a MFD and are compatible with brands such as Raymarine, Navico and Garmin.

Hide-away media centre

The PMX-8 is a hide-away media centre that can be installed behind a bulkhead and provide a user with a four zone and four source audio system.

“Audio from four different sources such as Bluetooth, radio, USB drive can be played in four different areas on board a boat allowing different users to listen to what they wish in each zone,” said Oliver.

“Everything can be controlled from the helm so it keeps the system clean with no head units.”

Kick-out power

The PMX-5 offers the same features but is on show having been installed through a bulkhead. Different sources of music can be listened to in two zones.

Rockford Fosgate’s amplifiers have been developed to be compact, to have low energy consumption and to kick out more power.

“It’s a fully marinised unit,” explained Oliver. “The PCB board is coated to make sure no moisture can get in and the fittings are stainless steel.

“Rockford Fosgate is very much all about audio quality and making sure it sounds as best it can.

“The range has been developed for around three years now and is very user friendly. It started with the watersports market and has been finessed for yacht customers.”
